We all know that decisions made by the Missouri General Assembly can have a great impact on our south Kansas City & Grandview area in numerous ways such as providing adequate funding for highway construction & maintenance, appropriating state funds for our public schools & their student transportation costs and passing laws to improve public safety and reduce crime.
Please join us at our South Kansas City Alliance public meeting at 6 p.m. Monday,December 8, in the community room in the front building of the South Patrol Police Campus, 9701 Marion ParkDr., to hear directly from a bipartisan panel of our area state legislators who will explain their top priorities for the upcoming 2026 session of the General Assembly starting in January and also discuss other major legislative proposals expected to be considered and respond to audience questions.
Legislators began introducing legislation to be considered during the 2026 session on December 1.
The confirmed speakers are Senator Rick Brattin (R-31st District), Representative Anthony Ealy Jr. (D-36th District), Representative Sherri Gallick (R-62nd District), Representative Pattie Mansur (D-25th District), Representative Mark Sharp (D-37th District) and Representative Emily Weber (D-24th District).
