SKCA April 2026 Meeting
Please join us at our monthly South Kansas City Alliance public meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 13, in the front building of the South Patrol Police Campus, 9701 Marion Park Dr., to hear very important news from all four KCMO City Council members who represent the south Kansas City area.
Our confirmed speakers are 5th District council members Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw & Darrell Curls and 6th District council members Andrea Bough & Johnathan Duncan who will explain the most important parts of the recently adopted city budget for fiscal year 2026-27, their top priorities for the coming year and city services that directly impact south Kansas City.
They all have committed to respond to audience comments and questions.
Also hear a brief report from SKCA Codes Advocate Davida Byrd about her efforts to get prompt compliance from south Kansas City property owners and renters to correct property maintenance violations such as high grass & weeds, dead trees, trash & litter, vehicles parked in front yards, peeling paint and out buildings open to entry.
She will also explain how persons can report such violations during both normal business hours and after hours. Such complaints can always remain anonymous on request.
