Please join us and hear KCMO Police Chief Stacey Graves give us the latest updates on KCPD’s strategies and initiatives to reduce homicides and other violent crimes and to reduce burglaries, vehicle thefts and other property crimes at the 6 p.m. Monday, May 11, public meeting in the community room in the front building of the South Patrol Police Campus, 9701 Marion Park Dr., sponsored by the South Kansas City Alliance.

Graves and other KCPD officials will explain the most recent citywide and south Kansas City crime trends and specific steps residents and business owners can take to keep their homes, businesses and neighborhoods safer and also answer audience questions.

She also will discuss KCPD staffing levels and proposed state legislation currently being considered by the Missouri General Assembly that can significantly improve public safety if it is passed and signed into law by the governor.

Representatives of the KCMO Fire Department will give away new smoke detectors to city residents at the meeting and also explain the Department’s membership program that covers out-of-pocket costs for medically necessary ambulance service for city residents.  (Medicaid recipients are not eligible for the membership program.)
