It’s time again for the South KC Chamber’s annual Community Impact Awards!
Each year the South KC Chamber honors local businesses and organizations for the impact their innovation and contributions made to the quality of life in the community and their place of work. This year the Community Impact Awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner which will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the Armacost Museum.
This year awards will be given in the eight following categories:
· Economic Development Impact Award – This award recognizes a project or development that has begun in the last 12 months which had or will have a significant positive impact on the community.
· Healthcare Impact Award – This award recognizes business, groups or programs in the area that demonstrate service and exceptional leadership to help improve the health and wellness of the South KC area.
· Small Business Impact Award – This award recognizes a small business in the South KC area that exemplifies both business and civic leadership. Community involvement and management practices are the primary criteria for this award.
· Corporate Citizen Impact Award – This award is presented to a company that demonstrates a strong commitment to corporate responsibility practices by making contributions of time, talent and money to better the community.
· Sustainability Impact Award – This award recognizes a company that shows outstanding achievement and leadership in addressing climate change issues and sustainability within their own businesses as well as the community.
· First Responder Impact Award – This award recognizes an individual or group of first responders that go above and beyond the call of duty to serve the community.
· Non-Profit Impact Award – This award recognizes a non-profit that shows leadership, innovation and commitment through its programs and services to better the community.
Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Once all nominations are received and reviewed, our secret Chamber judges will narrow down the top submissions for our Chamber members and community leaders to vote for a BIG COMMUNITY IMPACT Winner via the Chamber’s Facebook page.
